Ignite Reading Easily Integrates Into Your School Day
Our daily, 15-minute tutoring sessions take place in one of two settings:
In-Class Virtual Tutoring
Ignite Reading students stay in their classrooms and use noise-canceling headphones to focus on their tutoring sessions. Sessions are usually held during the independent reading block so teachers are free to pull other students for small groups as part of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS).
Out-of-Class Virtual Tutoring
Schools designate a location where all Ignite Reading students can participate in tutoring sessions, with an on-site staff member assigned to monitor them.
We Manage Every Step of Your Reading Tutoring Implementation
How we start:
We assign each partner a customer success manager who helps schools with rosters, logistics, technology set up, and parent communication to get Ignite Reading up and running.
The program kicks off with a dress rehearsal week for students to meet their tutors, practice transitioning to tutoring, and learn how to log into their sessions.
We conduct baseline assessments to determine which students belong in the program and confirm where they should start their individualized instruction.
New districts can start with a small pilot program to get to know Ignite Reading before rolling it out more widely.
This program was really appealing to our teachers because they didn’t have to do anything other than give up 15 minutes of class time.

It’s nice to have an innovative approach that is flexible with the setting and our available time, yet structured, systematic, and research-based.
