Westfield’s public schools have formed a partnership with Ignite! Reading, a one-on-one tutoring program for students who are learning how to read. Curriculum Director Susan Dargie and Director of Assessment Christine Shea implemented a pilot of the program on March 13 in Highland Elementary School and Franklin Avenue Elementary School. Altogether, 74 kindergarten to second graders in Highland and Franklin Avenue are participating in the pilot.
